Facebook Plans To Launch Smartwatch Featuring Dual Cameras

Sharing is caring!

Facebook is working on its new smartwatch to compete with Apple watches. According to The Verge, Facebook’s first-generation smartwatch will have two cameras and a heart rate monitor and will be released by summer 2022.

On display, there will be two camera sensors that may be detachable to capture images and videos. It may be shared across all of Facebook’s apps, including Instagram. In addition, there will be a camera on the front of the watch display that may be used for video calling, while another camera of 1080p auto-focus on the back may be utilized to capture film.

According to reports, Facebook is working with some of the country’s biggest wireless carriers to allow long-term evolution (LTE) functionality for its future smartwatch. In this way, users will use the Facebook smartwatch without connecting it with their smartphones.

The social media giant Facebook is bringing on other companies to create accessories for attaching the camera hub to things like backpacks. The Facebook smartwatch will give white, black, and gold color options to its users and will cost around US$400 that is approximately Rs 29,000.

After spending about $1 billion on the first-generation model, the company is already working on the second and third generations for future release. This addition to Facebook’s portfolio will allow the company to develop directly available hardware for its customers.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, wanted to create more consumer products that bypass Apple and Google. The aim is to make the device-independent so that users can make use of it without using their smartphones.
