Facebook Analytics Will Shut Down After 30 June 2021

Sharing is caring!

Facebook, the social media giant, has announced that Facebook Analytics wouldn’t any longer be accessible after 30 June 2021. Facebook provides marketers a timeline of three months to export their data and look out for other solutions.

The announcement that Facebook Analytics is shuttering at the end of June was published on the Facebook for Business Help Center. Navigating to analytics.facebook.com now redirects users to the announcement, which reads:

Facebook Analytics will no longer be available after June 30, 2021. Until then, you will still be able to access reports, export charts, and tables and browse statistics. For accessing the Google Analytics report, you need to click the arrow in the upper right corner of any graph or table to view Facebook Analytics Export data to a CSV file on your desktop.”

The company doesn’t give a reason for its decision to shutter Facebook Analytics. Instead, it directs users to use other business tools after Analytics is removed.

Facebook directs users to the following business tools:

Facebook Business Suite: The business suite enables users to manage their Facebook and Instagram business accounts. It also offers detailed insights into the business’s audience, content, and trends.

Ad Manager: It lets companies view, make changes, and see results for Facebook campaigns and ads.

Event Manager:  It helps users set up and manage Facebook business tools like the Facebook pixel and Conversions API. It also notifies when any action occurs on the company’s website, app, and physical store.

Using a combination of the above-mentioned tools, the marketers can execute the same tasks and get invaluable information similar to Facebook Analytics.

Facebook Analytics is used to connect data from a Facebook page with data from the Facebook pixel. When the data is connected, Analytics can show a conversion path between a customer engaging with a business’s content and eventually making a purchase outside of Facebook.

The data has recently become more difficult to track using any tool – with or without Facebook Analytics. That’s because of an update in iOS 14, which asks users whether or not they want to be tracked by apps on their phone.

Facebook has lofty goals to make Business Suite the only interface businesses need to manage their activities on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.
